Builders and post-construction cleaning
Plan the clean around the work still to come.
A clean before the last trades visit serves a different purpose from the clean before the keys are handed over. Choosing the right stage helps avoid finished areas being disturbed again.
Tell us what is complete, what is still being installed and when the property needs to be ready. We can discuss whether the work suits one visit or separate stages.

From the last trades visit to handover
The sequence of work and the condition of new finishes shape the cleaning plan.
An earlier clean or a final clean
An earlier visit can help prepare completed areas while a project continues. A final clean is best timed after dusty work and installations have finished. If painters, installers or other trades will return, let us know which rooms they will use so we can plan around them.
Dust can settle again
Fine dust can become visible again after a room has been cleaned, particularly when nearby work continues. A further visit may be worth allowing for if cleaning must begin before the project is finished. This is discussed as part of the scope, rather than assumed to be included.
New finishes need care
Share the materials used and any care instructions supplied by the builder or installer. Tell us about freshly applied finishes, coatings or sealants and when they will be ready for cleaning. Any remaining protective coverings should be discussed before the visit.
Residue or a finish defect
A visible mark may be residue, but it may also be a scratch, an uneven finish or another issue for the builder to review. Close-up photos and details of the material help us discuss the approach. Cleaning is not a substitute for rectifying defects, and set compounds may need specialist attention.
Glass & window washing
Tell us whether window washing is required. It is optional and available on request for standard, reasonably reachable windows. Their condition matters, particularly where building residue is present; some windows may need a specialist professional window cleaning service.
Keep completed areas accessible
Materials awaiting collection, packed fittings and trade equipment can prevent access to finished surfaces. Arrange their removal from the agreed cleaning areas beforehand. We do not move or lift heavy items, so access behind or beneath them needs to be arranged separately.

Prepare a new office for its first occupants.
For an office fit-out, the move-in schedule matters as much as the construction schedule. Let us know when desks, equipment and other furnishings will arrive, and whether meeting rooms, shared areas or separate tenancies will become available at different times.
If only part of the premises has been renovated, identify the boundary between the completed work and areas already in use. Building access arrangements, lift bookings and restricted rooms are useful details to share when planning the visit.
Cleaning after a fit-out and maintaining an occupied workplace are different stages. Ongoing cleaning can be discussed separately once the space is in use.
Planning the scope & handover
Show us the project
Send photos of the completed areas and close-ups of visible residue. Include the property size, types of finishes and whether this is a new build, renovation or commercial fit-out. Mention areas that will still be occupied or unavailable.
Share the remaining dates
Let us know the last expected trades visit, any furniture delivery and the handover date. Working water and power, safe access and clear cleaning areas need to be available. Tell us if the project schedule changes before the booking.
Allow for what we find
Photos do not reveal every deposit or access issue. Estimates are a guide. If the condition requires more time, an additional visit or specialist work beyond the agreed scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding.
